A FEW IDEAS FOR FRESH ENTERTAINING

I love entertaining during the holidays. Setting a pretty table, flowers, and a treats buffet...I just live for it. I dream about it. But at the end of the season, I'm pretty tired of looking at the same, no matter how lovely, dishes, glassware and platters. Do you feel the same way? I love color, but January seems to be my month for ignoring it and I am drawn to soft creams and greys. A new year brings new treats.

I'll admit it, I was supposed to be working on a few things this morning and accidentally clicked an advertising email (can you guess who's) and this is the result. Here you go, a little wishlist I dreamed up. You see, I can't stop collecting cake plates, it's an addiction. I also have an addiction to scoping out the next wave of entertaining goodies...so here's to a wonderful 2013 and a fresh start.

Speaking of fresh starts, what would you like to see this year? Can I ask a huge favor? Pop over to fill out this quick survey. It's quick, easy and painless and you'd help me out a great deal! xo

FALL ENTERTAINING MUST HAVES

It's here, it's here. The official start to fall entertaining. You might have been to a few Halloween parties, but they usually start this weekend. We're about to go full bore into the season here at H+H and I wanted to start it off with a little roundup I did for HOUZZ. I banned turkeys. Not that they are bad, I just think it is kind of cliche, and yes, I am in search of a few to paint gold. But in case you are like me and really don't decorate much for fall and usually keep it low key until Christmas, let's just cozy up the place and get ready to entertain our friends and family this year. Cheers!
