INTRODUCING JULEP AND THANKSGIVING PLACE CARDS

What is Julep? Only the new blog which just launched last week from Minted that is full of great ideas to decorate your home for the holidays and every day in between. Minted offers unique cards, art work and new party suites that are designed by real designers, read: anyone who wants to give it a go and puts their heart into it. By offering design contests that everyone in the community can vote on and decide who will have their designs sold and printed, Minted is doing something new and amazing and you wouldn't expect anything less with their new blog. Julep features ideas and articles from their amazing community and it shows. One of the reasons I am so excited? I was invited to contribute a few holiday DIYs! The first of three, went live last week and is my modern take on Thanksgiving placecards.

My Modern Thanksgiving Placecards are much more interesting than a simple card with a turkey printed on it.  No names involved, but you can certainly tie a nametag to the top of each with ribbon if you love assigning seats. Inside each bottle is a little note of gratitude, something you are thankful for.

I'm super excited for this blog because A. I love Minted and B. it has some of my favorite bloggers around...take a peek and find out what rockstars they've gathered.

FALLING FOR LEAF POST-ITS

Fall is here. Check out these cute little post-its from PAPERMASH in the UK.  If these wouldn't be perfect at your feast later this month...I don't know what would.  Place them on wine glasses or at each place setting. Even more perfect would be as discreet, yet festive, little food lables on the buffet.

TIME FLIES AND A FEATHER DIY

Hello lovelies! What is the saying, the faster I go, the hurried-er I get? I wanted to greet your Monday with a few DIYs.  Up first is a super simple placecard that would be perfect for Thanksgiving! I did these cards for Becca over at CAKE, formerly Birthday Girl, one of my first ever blog reads. I've been meaning to get together with Becca for a DIY for a while now and this was great fun!  We had a "feather" theme. Check out her blog all week for feathery goodness.  See the full tutorial HERE.
