HOW TO MAKE A DIY GUMDROP ORNAMENT

I have a touch of a sweet tooth, ok a huge sweet tooth. Do you have one too or know someone who does? Need a last minute gift idea? Henry gave these to his bus driver and his teacher and they were a hit. They are easy, little ones can help and they sparkle too? My kind of DIY. Make these DIY Glittery Gumdrop ornaments today by checking out the full DIY over on The Sweetest Occasion. These also make the sweetest place card holders!

Backstory: I bought the brownie pop pan and can't make brownies in it that don't burn or get stuck. I have no idea what I am doing wrong. But, crafty as I am, I think I have found a better use for the pan as a gumdrop maker.

Psst...if you go to Target right now, they have the CUTEST gumdrop wrapping paper in the dollar bin.

RECENT HOLIDAY WORK: CAMILLE STYLES

I just wanted to pop in and show you what I have been up to. It's been so busy around here, seriously, the 16th of December? Really? I wanted to share a little peek at my recent collaboration with the team at Camille Styles. I mean, me? Working with the girls over at Camille Styles? I was thrilled to pieces! Best year ever. Here are a few shots for the shoot using Minted's new party line.

We shot locally at TROPHY CUPCAKE's Party Room in Wallingford. The space was beautiful and modern with a marble sideboard which was the perfect backdrop to the setting. It is just such a lovely space that works so well in a variety of parties.

For the shoot we ordered black and gold macarons from LADY YUM and they were awesome. I think you will be seeing many black macarons in my future. They taste as divine as they were beautiful.

Hope your Sunday is going beautifully! A big THANK YOU to Camille Styles for letting me be a part of such a gorgeous shoot! xo! Check out the full post over on Camille Styles!

LAST MINUTE GIFT IDEAS FOR CHRISTMAS

Need a little last minute inspiration for gifts this season? Technically, it is a little early to say last minute, but as a gal who is usually done before Thanksgiving, I'm feeling a little behind. I did a round up of some of my favorite gift ideas over on HOUZZ.com that are under $150. Simple, easy and awesome! I wouldn't mind getting any one of these goodies...hint, hint. Of course my gift ideas would even work for last minute holiday party ideas to spruce up your home or something to snag while out shopping for after the merriment.  Either way, check out my fun little round up of home decor, because everything in your life is worth celebrating.

Here is a little sneak peek, for the full list and sources check out my ideabook on HOUZZ.

PARTY FAVORITES: A SUBTLE REVELRY

I've been sprinkling one of my favorite series here on H+H about so you can get a peek into the party staches of some of the best party planners out there. Are you ready for one more? Victoria from A Subtle Revelry loves to share simple but beautiful ways to celebrate the everyday. She has one of the greatest taglines around...the art of merrymaking!

Her projects and delightful ideas will guide you into living the best life you can, because who doesn't need some little polka dots in their life? (I'm obsessed with these green polka dot glasses she made btw.)  Shall we learn her secrets? Take it away Victoria!

My top three party necessities:

1) Honeycomb balls... I used them recently for a baby shower and just bought a stash of 60 for something fun this fall. You can never have too many honeycombs lying around and finding vintage ones is the best!
2) Small pretty jars.... for favors, tiny drinks, sweets, flowers. You can use these beauties for anything!
3) Woven poofs... We have a set of these that have been used for everything! They are perfect to stack and pull out whenever there is a gathering. Sit them under a coffee table for an outdoor party or throw them around the living room for a movie night.

Thank you so much Victoria for sharing these great sources! I'm off to get little lidded jars, why? Because not only are they cute, but did you see the color? That's a nice shade of green.

FALL ENTERTAINING MUST HAVES

It's here, it's here. The official start to fall entertaining. You might have been to a few Halloween parties, but they usually start this weekend. We're about to go full bore into the season here at H+H and I wanted to start it off with a little roundup I did for HOUZZ. I banned turkeys. Not that they are bad, I just think it is kind of cliche, and yes, I am in search of a few to paint gold. But in case you are like me and really don't decorate much for fall and usually keep it low key until Christmas, let's just cozy up the place and get ready to entertain our friends and family this year. Cheers!
