A GREAT SOURCE FOR FONTS AND GRAPHICS: CREATIVE MARKET

I've got a wonderful little something to share with you today on Font Friday! Enter Creative Market, a great site to find graphics, Wordpress themes, templates, Photoshop brushes and actions, web icons and of course - FONTS! I usually look to blogs to tell me what amazing design goodies I can find around the web, sometimes even Pinterest, but this site from the COLOURLovers founder, is an great colleciton of tons of goodies I would actually use. I have a specific taste and style that I like to use for graphics and having to filter through the garbage and junk to find the great stuff, well it's a pain. Creative Market seems to have some kind of AWESOME filter that I can't help but want all of it. They just think"beautiful design should be accessible to everyone". I love that I can download the great designe elements quickly and easily so I can get my posts up fast. Here are a few of my favorites:

TEN BEST PLACE CARD FONTS

Friends and family are gathering soon for feasts, so I thought in honor of Thanksgiving, I'd share a few of my favorite fonts for place cards. Font Fridays have been a regular thing around here, but with Pinterest font collections being all the rage, I thought for the Holidays I'll add a few of my choice collections. I have covered a few of these before, but this is a happy little reminder of those fonts you loved but can't remember all in one place. I tried to gather a bunch of cheap or even FREE fonts that you can use for your next get together. In this collection I have a few handwritten fonts so if your handlettering skills are lacking (like mine are) you can still have fun or beautiful place cards. I usually print black on kraft card stock when I use handlettered fonts and it just works brilliantly. Be sure to print on the best quality setting on your printer to make it really pop and look handmade.

I also wanted to include a few clean and modern fonts because they look wonderful at a simple gathering. When in doubt, KISS. (love that) Keep it simple...If you set the table with white dishes, beautiful flowers in a single tone and pretty linen napkins, all you need is a simple placecard. Place these great modern fonts atop each place setting and be done with it. Once you get the hang of it, Thanksgiving is really easy. My secret? Make what counts and fake the rest.

Fun with FREE fonts this super Friday...EPOCA CLASSIC by Hoftype is a simple sans serif font that has a nice weight. Did I mention it is free? If you are new to these Font Fridays you might like to know that FONT SQUIRREL is a incredible source for free commercial use fonts. Don't forget to bookmark it while you pop over to download Epoca!

FONT FRIDAY: SILVER FAKE

Happy Friday! First off this morning is a great FREEBIE font I found called SILVERFAKE by FONTFABRIC. It is a great slab font with a touch of modern. I really love the As. It only comes in capitals, but it has some great ones.

FONT FRIDAY: ISSUE 26

Happy Friday!  This week's Font Friday pick is a big ol' freebie, that has me by my heart strings, despite it's rather unromantic name, IFC LOS BANDITOS.   I just used this font for my girl C and it fits perfectly with her little sweetie's modern cowgirl fete this weekend. I am especially in love with the uppercase R and N.
