FONT FRIDAY: SULLIVAN

Happy Font Friday! Jason Mark Jones is one of my favorite font designers. He created SKUNKLING and his new font is SULLIVAN. You can find this beautiful bevelled wonder at LOST TYPE CO-OP.  It's also on sale on his site for $25, which is well worth the price.  I bought it, because I really want to use it EVERYWHERE. Seriously, isn't it AWESOME?  I know I say that alot about my font picks. Technically, I have only posted a few out of the thousands of typefaces out in the world...so yes, all of my picks are awesome. Do I love fonts? Yes.  Is it completely rational, not really, but you have to go check this out!

MERRY WEEK

Hello lovelies! I hope you are having a merry, merry Monday! I'm finishing up a few posts for this week this morning and thought I'd pop in to share this teeny bit of sparkle from my friend Catherine at DESIGN EDITOR. She made this little lovely of a font...isn't it wonderful? I keep seeing glitter fonts all over this season and she was so sweet to give the FONT FRIDAY team it for Christmas...Thank you Catherine!  You can get your own glitter alphabet HERE, she even has tags and numbers! 

FONT FRIDAY: ISSUE 28

Do you have anything exciting planned for the weekend? It's gonna be a great one over here! This evening is our pizza party/halloween extravaganza/ The Munsters marathon tonight.  The boys want to make frankenstein cake pops instead of the zombies we did last year. We are going to make this jam that I found via my new twitter pal Brianne over on Ravenna Girls. We will be picking up some pumpkins and carving them, and going on a train ride in costume, okay the boys will be in costume, but I will be happily wear my cat ears, if asked.

But to start the weekend off right, FONT FRIDAY goodness.  I have long been a fan of NELLY SCRIPT, and this strikes the same cord with me. Pretty calligraphy from Emily Lime...perfect for the holidays!

CAROLYNA is a new font, as in just released yesterday on MyFonts. I think I need it, yep, I do.

FONT FRIDAY: ISSUE 25

Today, I bring a font with really great bones...HEADHUNTER. Add a creep factor to your halloween decor.  Print this guy out really large and use transfer paper to make big signs. Transfer paper is like carbon paper for crafters. You can get it at any local craft supply store, it comes in light or dark or colors(depending on your surface) and is handy to have around. Place your board or fabric on the bottom, place a sheet of transfer paper, and your design on top. You trace the letters with a pencil or ballpoint pen, and it leaves a light pattern on top of what you want to paint. Then you take a little brush and paint out your design.
