A GREAT SOURCE FOR FONTS AND GRAPHICS: CREATIVE MARKET

I've got a wonderful little something to share with you today on Font Friday! Enter Creative Market, a great site to find graphics, Wordpress themes, templates, Photoshop brushes and actions, web icons and of course - FONTS! I usually look to blogs to tell me what amazing design goodies I can find around the web, sometimes even Pinterest, but this site from the COLOURLovers founder, is an great colleciton of tons of goodies I would actually use. I have a specific taste and style that I like to use for graphics and having to filter through the garbage and junk to find the great stuff, well it's a pain. Creative Market seems to have some kind of AWESOME filter that I can't help but want all of it. They just think"beautiful design should be accessible to everyone". I love that I can download the great designe elements quickly and easily so I can get my posts up fast. Here are a few of my favorites:

DIAMONDS: A COOL NEW HIPSTER FONT

Happy Font Friday! Today is another hipster font that will make your heart go all pitter patter. Diamonds by Hannes von Döhren is full of geometric letterforms. It is a little bit rock and roll a little vintage and all awesome. I love the double O in shoot, don't you? It comes in a variety of weights and has a variety of alternates so you can either use a little or a lot. I would probably limit my hipster letters and just use a sprinkling of them here or there.

FONT FRIDAY: GEARED SLAB

Happy Friday! Today, I bring you the newest edition to the LOST TYPE family, GEARED SLAB by graphic designer BEN DALRYMPLE. I love the shape of these letters and it comes with some hefty options for those who like to be a bit more bold in their font.

This font is well designed and would look great in print, letterpress or web design. How would you use this modern traditional style font?

FONT FRIDAY: VENEER

Happy Friday! This week I bring you a must have, that is only $9. That's right, this bad boy is on sale.  Go check out VENEER by YELLOW DESIGN STUDIO. Now, you tenured graphic designers, I know you know how to distress letters, but this is pretty good and instant gratification. I'm still learning, so anywhere I can save time and energy and still achieve an awesome look, well, I'm all over it. At this price, it is a steal.

FONT FRIDAY: RICKETY

Happy Friday lovelies! I was sick all last week and over the weekend and I'm running to catch up on a ton of stuff, not to mention Ms. A is having her baby shower this Sunday and I have a few more finishing touches to do for that! I'm also trying to remind myself that grownups don't need ! after every sentence. Sheesh Jen! (ack, I did it again) Ok. Font Friday this week is RICKETY from Silas Dunworth (the same guy who made the gorgeous font I was on the hunt for a few weeks ago) and Chris May over on TYPETRUST.

Isn't it awesome? I love the angularity of the capitals AND...that ampersand. I die.
