Modern Calligraphy Font

I'll admit, I always wanted to know how to draw letters with that cool angle of Old English style calligraphy. Don't get me wrong, I didn't like the whole letter, just the little angled lines; I'd ditch the whole freaky gothic vibe. Today for Font Friday, I have found the perfect compromise, Selador, by Maximillian Huber just has the angled lines, none of the crazy. I love how it looks in just black and white. I would use this printed on place cards. If you use a good textured linen paper, it would almost look like you did it yourself.

It has a great retro feel without being too decorative. The S is divine. How perfect are the numbers for escort cards? Go check out Selador over on Ten Dollar Fonts, and if you haven't heard of them before, you are in for a treat. A great selection of modern typefaces for $10? You're welcome.
