HOMESTEAD: A COOL LAYERED FONT

I will always be amazed at typographers, the beautiful ways they see lines and curves. Layers are certainly no exception and with the arrival of fall this weekend in Seattle, bye bye sunshine, I bring you a font that looks like it is ready for some apple cider, rainboots and a campfire. I know you have seen HOMESTEAD, a Lost Type font by Lisi Design, all over Pinterest and I am smitten.

It is one of those fonts that is so cool you almost want to start a new blog or shop just so you can change your branding to use it. What, is that just me?

I just wanted to take a small moment of time to talk about using 'pick your donation' fonts...Yes, it is awesome to be able to get free fonts, but remember your manners and if you use this for any project where you receive money, shouldn't you be giving some of that to the designer? Use your judgement and give a fair price. I like that I can try them out before I buy, since I change my mind all the time for projects. If I do choose to use it, I go back and buy it. It is just the nice thing to do.

Check out my font club...Love these gals.

Agreed. Typography is an art form. I found your blog from the Paper Mama and am excited to *meet* a fellow Seattle blogger who loves fall and rain boots.

I have been using this font quite a bit. Love it! Kind want to change my blog header and use it. What do you think? It's kind of masculine, but clean. I am wanting more clean, less clutter when it comes to design.
