GET IT NOW: HALLOWEEN PARTY MUST HAVES

I know Halloween is forever away, but in this day and age when decor hits the shelves months before hand, you have to get it now. When you go back in two weeks, or possibly even next week, it will be gone. Times like these I miss Reno, where goodies sat on shelves for at least a week or two. Seattle? These people are nuts and buy their stuff pronto, so, I too, shall plan ahead. The halloween caldron always sells out before October, and I have tried to get his baby for three years running. This is my year. I remember it being at Pottery Barn last year, but it's all in the (brand) family, right?

If you follow me on Instagram (@hankandhunt, you know I do give hints about future DIYs on there) you probably already know that I scored this little fox by Patch NYC yesterday along with his pal, the woodpecker from The Shops at Target. They will be used as cupcake stands for Halloween and fall entertaining. I was prop shopping slash grocery shopping because I like to multi-task when I am out kid-free. I can tell you that four and six year olds can only handle so much prop and supply shopping. My budget can only afford so many small lego kits as forms of bribery. There, I admit it, I bribe my children to go to Crate and Barrel and Paper Source. In reality, these are NOT fun places for little boys and I just have to accept the fact that other people, especially small people, do not find the same joy as I do pining over serveware and crepe paper. That is fine, it just means that when I am grocery shopping, I am also dashing around town looking for new goodies.

Haha! I was just thinking about how AWESOME it is to go to the Target here, everything is always available. All of those designer collections that got sold out in 5 secs in L.A. stay here for eternity, go on sale and I get them for a song. Living in the country has its perks, lol.
