We're avoiding pastels this weekend, which is next to impossible. The best I can do is choose more graphic accents to take the softness out of what few items I couldn't avoid. That's why I wanted to make this bunting for Easter dinner, in navy. It is a flower, but modern. I used the BLOSSOMS printing plate in my Epic 6 Combo Kit from LIFESTYLE CRAFTS and it was awesome.
I am still a beginner when it comes to letterpress, so believe me when i tell you it is easier than you think. You place the plate using a double sided adhesive sheet on the lid, and roll the ink on lightly with the brayer (roller.) Place your card using the lines. I used A7 flat cards. Close the lid and run it though the machine. Ta-da! Letterpress. Let dry. Cut each sheet in half and cut out the flag shape on the bottom. Tape twine to the back of the flags and you have yourself a great, not too saccarine bunting for Easter.
If you would like to try this, don't forget to use my coupon code "HANK" and you will get 20% off! Yes, I am an affiliate, which means LIFESTYLE CRAFTS sends me free supplies such as dies and plates, I do make a small commision on any purchase you make with the promo code. All opinions are mine.
