I get the feeling that some of you have questions about how I do things around here. I love sharing tutorials but I don't mind sharing goodies and what I have learned along the way in this whole blogging world. Please don't hesitate to ask me ANYTHING. I hope this helps. I've never been one to hide my secrets, I think we all have talents and if this helps someone find theirs, that is AWESOME.
GREAT SOURCES: You will find these little lovelies all over my posts.
Pugly Pixel: Tutorials and graphics awesomeness, most is free or pay $5 and get it ALL! I LOVE her. LOVE.
Besotted Brand: Beautiful graphics and actions to use in your blog posts, I love her vintage photo frames.
Pioneer Woman: Tips and tricks for photography. Her photoshop actions are fabulous and free.
EQUIPMENT I USE:
Camera: Canon T2i, I like that it is small, light and fits in my hand comfortably.
Lenses: This is big here...I use the one that came with the camera. I just admitted to committing a photographic crime of some sort, but this girl is on a budget...saving and dreaming of a new lens.
Tripods: If you shoot tabletop, you must have one. Promise. I use this one.
Table for shoots: A white kid's table from IKEA. No joke, I "borrow" it from the boys.
PS + AI + Picassa (more on my workflow coming soon)
CLASSES I learned a whole heck of a lot from:
Nicole's Classes: Illustrator (all of them) and 102 from Alma Loveland (best instructor EVER.) Tabletop Photography from Nicole Gerlaut Hill. Don't forget to check out the FREE TUTORIALS section. Awesome.
Blogging Your Way e-course: Beautiful and inspiring. Great beginner blogger course, I still review my notes.
Creative Live: These great selection of classes are available for FREE if you watch them when they first run. Bonus: you can buy their sessions and keep them forever! Which is perfect for me because I am terrible at remembering all the good tricks.
ALT Summit: I will be adding my ALT notes (soon). Please disregard my horrible handwriting and mispellings, I can't write worth a darn when I am scribbling as fast as I can. And yes, I am lazy and if I had to type these out they would never get in this list.
ALT Channel Classes: I had been taking at least one a month to hone my skill set for total blogging awesomeness. GREAT material by GREAT teachers. I liked them so much I'm hosting them, see my smiling face at the beginning of classes here and there throughout the month.
