Amazing New Party Decor at Meri Meri

My heart just exploded. I browse Meri Meri from time to time because they are known for their amazing paper products like cupcake liners, napkins and packaging. When I was cruising the site last week, I fell out of my chair. Wonderful craziness like gold foil, stripes and geometric 3D garlands popped out of my screen and just blew solid colored paper ware out of the water. Why use a solid when you can go a little crazy awesome on your next party? 3D garlands? I just said 3D people! A dala horse cookie cutter?  An electric guitar? It's like Meri Meri said, 'Hmmmm what's missing from parties that is cool and amazing and let's make it." So they did. I couldn't fit anymore products on this round up without sounding a little crazy. Hexagon paper platters? For real, check out the new line up, don't leave any link unturned because this time Meri Meri and their party products have hit it out of the park . The new collections of party wares and decor are perfect for the really cool kids party or an amazing adult birthday fete.

Beautiful Bottles by Color for Your Bar Cart

Bottles of booze and beverages of choice, I've been seeing some gorgeous bottles on the shelf lately and now that the sun is out, let's get this party started. Yes, I will be the first to admit, I shop by theme and color as much as taste. A good looking bottle will make me buy one bottle of booze over another. I can't help it; I like to entertain all of my senses, not just my taste buds. Styling your bar cart or beverage station is as easy as Roy G. Biv and I wanted to start the sunny season off right. Here is a starter, a collection of bottles arranged by color to match your event that I did a few years back. Distilleries have exploded and I'm starting this series over again. Do you have any new favorites I HAVE to try? A gorgeous bottle of something that you don't know how to use it? Have a distinct color palette for a party and need some bottled inspiration? I'm up for anything in the name of research!

Offbeat Vessels for Spring Flowers

Spring is tomorrow! Hooray! Tulips have already hit my local grocery store and I can't wait to finally see something other than mums and carnations. Have a little fun and join the crazy vase trend. Animal heads, fun shapes and even ice cream cone vases are out and all over Pinterest. The key to keeping it chic and not kitschy? Keep it simple in white. Your spring flowers and arrangements will provide all the color you need. The whole style is to keep it slightly quirky, not over the top, cool and collected rather than need to be committed. Having a fun non-traditional vase on hand is a great last minute way to perk up a impromptu party. Don't be afraid to mix it up, the bottom "vase" is actually just a candle holder I fell in love with the other day and I added an air plant instead. Spring into a pop of fun.

Oh Joy at Target

Spring is just around the corner and I am giddy with excitement. The sun keeps peeking out, the flowers are starting to bloom and it's just about time to run outside and have some picnics. Okay, it's a smidge cold in Seattle still, but who cares, I will party anyway. The rain has never stopped me before. So I will put on some Astrid Gilberto make a Mai Tai and have a party inside if I have to.  It's going to be super simple with the bright new party decorations and table ware from Joy Cho, of Oh Joy! The Oh Joy line is now at Target! If you have been anywhere on Pinterest you saw it coming and well, I'm a party decor aficionado and I am going to seek it out and tell you about it. Round up your besties and hit your local digs. I snagged these babies on Sunday. Yes, the clerks were still putting it out and I kept passing by picking up things off their cart. I am not ashamed. These pictures don't do the set justice, the aqua pitcher is a sublime shade that pushes past aqua into my favorite shade of emerald. So gorgeous!

I also grabbed the ice bucket, so cute and so affordable! I also love that I can even let the boys use it, a perfect blend of style and functionality. She's right at home on my little gold bar cart. But my absolute favorite in the collection? The little plastic goblets - perfect for Mai Tais, right? I am a little worried that I might need the pitcher in bright orange too, so I will swing by and grab it today. At $13, there is no reason not too. My final question to Target is, "How long have you known that you can gild plastic ware and why have you not done this before?" I just want to give a big old HOORAY and a big thank you to Joy, for bringing a little pop of bright and swash of gold into our lives and I hope this is only the beginning of gorgeous tableware and home decor in your future!

The Coolest Party Favor Ever: Your Photo on a Lollipop

I think the coolest part of a party is customizing those tiny unexpected details. When you can catch your guest's eye and turn the ordinary into something special, that's when you have created a memorable event. I want to share my greatest new party find, well actually my party cohost and online bff Sharon found these first, Lollipics. These gorgeous handcrafted lollipops are almost 3 inches wide and come in a variety of fun flavors and colors in both clear and opaque shades! But that's not the best part. You can customize your Lollpics with any image you like. It can be a photo of your kid, dog or even your business logo. Anything. Designers and party planners, the possibilities are endless, think of all the killer (and edible) designs that can be popped on a lollipop!  I still have one lollipop left from our Alt Summit Urban Jungle Party, I want to save it forever, it is that cool. Our theme was Stay Wild and Lollipics put it on a black lollipop. Sweet! (on so many levels)

I can't begin to take a picture to show how awesome this is in real life, I tried.

And tried.

And tried. My pictures don't do it justice.

Another favorite thing about Lollipics? You can even only order get small sets of 6. I love this because not all of my parties are huge. Most are just my family and close friends. What better way to surprise someone than with a lollipop with a great picture on it? Or a funny phrase? What about making a set to send via snail mail with birthday cards or just because? Make a set that say THANK YOU, what a sweet way to say thanks! Go bold with favors for an event, like a big and graphic geometric abstract? And you know Alt Summit SLC is coming this summer (registration just opened yesterday) how killer would these be as business cards? Seriously.

Either way I was blissfully blown away at the quality and sheer awesomeness of Lollipics lollipops. Also, it was fate that the black lollipops are black cherry, only my favorite flavor, ever. The uses for these are endless and I can't wait to use them again. Did you swing by our, Sharon, Ali and Lauren's, party at Alt SLC? Did you snag one of these before they flew out the door?
